JPMorgan Chase is backing healthcare startup Vera Whole Health with $ 50 million and will soon offer the subscription model to its employees. The investment is a first for JP Morgan’s healthcare division, Morgan Health, which launched in May, CNBC exclusively reported Thursday (August 5th).

Telemedicine has been around for a few years, but seeing a doctor on the internet was far from common before COVID-19. Adoption has accelerated around the world and 5G is fueling this growth by providing the necessary availability, bandwidth and ease of deployment for the cellular network.

Vizient launches healthcare supply chain aid

Vizient has deployed a new product to strengthen healthcare supply chains, according to an announcement, through its partners. The product will provide visibility to suppliers of manufacturing and distribution sites.

The product will also help monitor events that may impact operations as well as risk management services for critical supplies. The technology platform will help Vizient members and suppliers with demand forecasting, real-time inventory availability and disruption alerts for logistics management.

GoodRx, Surescripts team for real-time drug discounts

GoodRx has entered into an agreement with Surescripts for the real-time electronic prescription drug price rebate program to help uninsured patients and those who cannot obtain pricing information for their health plans.

The service allows prescribers to choose the appropriate medication for the patient based on their ability to pay. Using Surescripts Real-Time Prescription Benefit, prescribers can offer patients a discount on the price of GoodRx, according to a statement.
